It’s with the heaviest of hearts that I share the news of my sister, Jane Laws’ sudden passing. She is survived by her 4 young children, who had to say the hardest goodbye they will ever know. A mother, a daughter, a sister and an Aunt, taken from us at just 50 years old, and who’s absence has left our family with an unimaginable amount of grief and loss in our hearts.
Jane was charming and funny, and everyone who met her was enamoured with her ability to make you feel warmth and loved immediately. She is remembered by her children and family as a beautiful soul, who was always ready to sing a song with you at the drop of a dime, be there anytime you needed and whip up the best batch of potato goup you’ve ever had. The impact of her absence is far greater than words could convey.
Jane’s children, whom were her entire world, and she theirs, are left to navigate the heavy financial burdens of life, far too young. While Emily (21), Jameson (18), Alison (15) and Janey (12) grieve the loss of their mum, who was their rock and favourite person in the world, they are met with some of life’s most unexpected costs like a funeral and memorial service. Emily will be raising her younger siblings and our hope is to be able to help cover immediate expenses, such as housing and daily necessities; as well as future needs like education and savings.
No donation is too small. Every dollar, every share, every kind word means the world to this family as they navigate the unthinkable. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
Let’s come together to honour Jane’s legacy and show Emily, Jameson, Alison and Janey that they are not alone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love, and support.
