Cleveland legend Bernie Kosar has brought hope, pride, and unforgettable memories to countless fans and families across NE Ohio and beyond. Today, he needs our support more than EVER.
In recent months, Bernie has been battling advanced liver cirrhosis, early-stage Parkinson’s disease, and now a sudden and dangerous series of internal-bleeding complications. What began as preparation for a scheduled liver transplant took a frightening turn when doctors discovered that the donor liver was infected, forcing an immediate postponement of the surgery.
Since then, Bernie has undergone multiple “aggressive procedures” to stop internal bleeding, with another procedure still ahead.
As fans, friends, and a community that has always stood behind him, now is our moment to stand up for #19 as he battles the biggest game of his life.
How Funds Will Be Used
All funds raised in this campaign will go directly to Bernie for the following:
• Ongoing and emergency medical procedures
• Hospitalization and long-term treatment costs
• Expenses related to his future liver transplant
• Recovery care, medication, and rehabilitation
• Support for daily living during a period when he cannot work
• Travel & caregiver expenses
