<div>In recent months, Bernie has been battling advanced liver cirrhosis, early-stage Parkinson’s disease, and now a sudden and dangerous series of internal-bleeding complications. What began as preparation for a scheduled liver transplant took a frightening turn when doctors discovered that the donor liver was infected, forcing an immediate postponement of the surgery.
