Hello all! I am raising money to help aid the homeless in the community of Brattleboro, VT and surrounding communities. As winter fast approaches, we are having nights down in the 30s and many people (including those with children) are without adequate shelter and provisions. I am committed to putting together supply bags to hand out when I come across someone in need. These supply bags will include hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, nail clippers, combs, soap, wipes, deodorant, tissues, lip balm, pads & tampons for women), survival items (thermal sleeping bags, tarps, winter hats, thermal socks, scarves, flashlights, hand warmers), snack packs, and some small toys for those who have children. All of these items, while purchased in bulk, add up very quickly. However, each supply bag will only cost $37! $37 for all of the things I listed above. That's incredible and possibly life changing for someone living in unfavorable conditions.

This cause is especially dear to my heart as I personally know children in the school I work at that are experiencing poverty and one who was living in a tent. I have also taken time over the past few years to get to know individuals in Brattleboro who are experiencing homelessness and they truly are real people. They are individuals who have experienced tragedy, abuse, and unexpected life change that have brought them where they are.
