Support the Conway Family After Devastating Loss

Update: We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all of the support and love toward Dora, Keira, Joey and Victoria during this very difficult time. The outpouring of love and support has been tremendously generous and there are no words to express how thankful we are. Keith will always be remembered in our hearts and fond memories. He rests in eternal peace with God.

Hello, our names are Julie and Martin Gutierrez. We are writing to you on behalf of our dear sister, Dora Conway. She is unfortunately a recently widowed mother with three beautiful children who is facing a very difficult time in her life.

Dora lost her beloved husband, Keith Conway, at a tender age of 43 to a massive heart attack on April 22, 2024. This devastating loss has tragically and unexpectedly left Dora to navigate the challenges of single parenthood, funeral expenses, a house mortgage and countless other expenses, while also grieving the loss of the love of her life and sole provider of her family.

As a devoted mother of three (Keira, Joey, and Victoria), Dora is doing her best to provide for her family and create a sense of stability for her family by figuring out her financial situation going forward. However, the next couple of weeks and months will be uncharted territory for her as she focuses on funeral arrangements, the well-being of her children, and home finances. We are reaching out to our family, friends, and community to ask for your assistance in supporting Dora and her children during this difficult healing period. Your donation will help alleviate the financial burden on Dora to allow her to focus on coping with the immense feeling of loss and sorrow that she and her family are dealing with.

For those of you lucky enough to have known Keith, you know he was devoted to his family and friends. Not only did he make an effort to have a sit down dinner with his wife and kids every night, it was equally important to Keith to have dinner with his father, brother and sister every Sunday night especially given the loss of his mother less than a year ago. Keith loved not only his family, but also his friends. He loved having family and friends gather at his house for holidays, special occasions or for no other reason than to get family and friends together. We all actually think the gatherings at his house was for Keith to live out his secret passion of being a stand up comic because Keith would have all of us hysterically laughing by the end of the night. Friends, family, an abundance of food, and laughter were all staples at the Conways.

In addition to his love of family and friends, he loved his job and co-workers at Amtrak. Keith followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather when he started his career at Amtrak 17 years ago. Amtrak is not only an employer, but a family tradition. Keith often referred to the amazing people at Amtrak as extended family who would be invited to his house for gatherings.

The passing of Keith leaves behind a profound impact to Dora, his children, his father, his brother, his sister, and on those who knew him. Dora and her family’s journey ahead will undoubtedly be challenging as she navigates the complexities of single parenthood and copes with the loss of her beloved husband and father to her children. We hope that through the collective efforts of family, friends, and the community, Dora and her children will find solace and relief from the financial burdens they face in the coming weeks and months.
