In Honor of the late Burt Edwin Moritz III instead of flowers, we are asking for donations to help the Super Pheonix Project. This project teaches at-risk youth the skills they need to take control of their lives and learn their own self-worth.
Super Pheonix is an initiative to help at-risk youth learn the skills they need to turn their lives around. More importantly, Super Phoenix helps kids learn their own self-worth, acceptance and guides them to a community that can help support them and lead their lives in the right direction.
WHO THIS BENEFITS
The kids who benefit from this program have in general lost their homes and have no support system. Many are living on the streets, in shelters or in group homes without any guidance or self-worth.
Your donation will help us fund the online program so that the kids can learn at their own pace and find a mentor to help change their lives.
We know this works because we did a workshop with the kids at the Hedrick Martin Institute over 10 years ago and after the recent 10-year reunion we found several of our original students who at the time had no real future had become very successful artists and designers and attributed the change in their lives to our work with them.
With your help, we can develop a web-based curriculum and a place where kids can be matched with career mentors to find a career in photography, design, web development, NFT Artist, or as an Influencer. The curriculum helps these kids learn the basics of creating professional media and working with brands to become ambassadors. We also teach these kids how to use social media to build an audience and create their own brand allowing them to find a new future in life.
