Sunset Park Community Mural

Please help replace the Sunset Park Unity Mural at 54th Street.

Neighbors and local groups created the mural 25 years ago. But the wall its on is damaged and the paint is beyond repair. Citi Bank will generously restore the wall surface to host a new mural.

Now it's time for us to get creative and make something amazing for Sunset Park to enjoy for decades to come.

Donations will be used to host community design sessions, hire a professional muralist and for tools and paint. Expected project date is fall 2025.

We invite anyone interested to donate and participate. Youth participation is especially encouraged.

Background: 25 years ago over 50 local residents and half a dozen local non-profits collaborated to create the current mural, painting over a previous one that lasted 20 years. So, this new generation of creativity builds on a long tradition.

All donations are tax deductible and our fiscal sponsor is the Sunset Park Business Improvement District. Citi Bank is our host (wall), and the residents of 54th Street are the leaders of the project.
