Welcome to Sunflower Community Garden, right here in Ogden, Utah. This garden has been a place of growth and togetherness since 2009, but lately, it's been showing its age. We need your help to bring it back to life.
Our Story:
Back in 2009, Sunflower Community Garden was born, thanks to folks like Dan and Suzy Dailey. Over the years, it's been a real gem for our community. But now, it's seen better days, and we're on a mission to fix that.
The Need for Restoration:
Years of use have taken their toll on our garden. We've got rotting wood, leaky pipes, and broken bits that need fixing. It's time to roll up our sleeves and give this place the TLC it deserves.
How You Can Help:
Your donation today goes straight into restoring Sunflower Community Garden. We're talking about fixing up those old wooden boxes and making sure this space is as good as new. Every little bit counts, so join us in giving our community oasis a makeover.
Our Current Milestones and Plans
- Register as a Non-Profit Organization
- Elevated Boxes - We want to invite people of all abilities to experience a great gardening experience. (Supplies and Labor Estimated Cost $1,500)
- Fruit Trees, Periennel Produce, and Other Beneficial Plants and Flowers (Estimated Cost $500)
- Beneficial Bugs - Ladybugs, Praying Mantis, etc. (Estimated Cost $100)
- Tools (Such as 1 Battery Powered Drill, 1 Large Head Spade Shovel, 1 Small Head Spade Shovel) (Estimated Cost $200)
- Updated Patio Area and Surrounding/ Border Seating Areas for Events, Classes, Gatherings, Hanging Out, and More: Enhancing Accessibility and Comfort (Weather Resistant Benches, Shade Covering, Supplies to Renovate Patio Tables - New Wood, Weather Resistant Cushions, Paint and Weather Proofing) (Estimated Costs $2,000)
