I’m a cashier at a local gas station in Eureka, California, and every day I see unhoused people come in, struggling to have enough money for food. I wanted to do something that could help, so for the past two years, I’ve been putting together ziplock bags filled with a Costco hot dog, ketchup and mustard, a sweet snack, chips, candy, a bottle of water, and a prayer card for encouragement. Every Sunday after church, I drive to 2nd and 3rd Streets where many unhoused people stay, and hand out 30 bags. I always run out within 10 minutes of arriving, and I wish I could do more.
Each bag is assembled with care and covers a full meal and a little encouragement. I cover the costs myself, but with your support, I could increase the number of bags I put together each week and reach even more people who need a meal and a bit of hope. Your donation, no matter the size, will help me continue this mission and bring comfort to those who need it most.
Thank you for any help you wish to send. Donations will help me increase the number of people I can help. Your support means so much to me and the people I serve.
