Hello everyone I hope you guys find yourselves well during this time. I wanted to take the time to tell you guys something Sarai Vega and I, Tania Sosa, are working on but we need as much help as possible. We want to give Sumner Seniors a small graduation gift to let them know they are on our minds. A lot of the students that attend schools in our district, including Sumner, are first-generation students so this is a huge achievement for the seniors and their families. Despite not getting the graduation they expected, we want to make it as special for them as possible. 

We want to give the 173 seniors a cup or water bottle, a personalized note and a balloon at their doorstep on behalf of Senior Alumni. In order to purchase all of this, we set a fundraising goal of $2000 for the gifts. Any amount you can donate would mean a lot to us and the seniors. On top of this my sister and I would like to make a video of the seniors opening their front doors to see the gift on your porch and make a sweet video for them to see! We are already getting permission from the seniors themselves to release their addresses and permission to be on camera. Although, they don’t know the entire details because we want to keep the element of surprise. We have been in contact with the principal at Sumner, the college advisors and other teachers like Mrs. Leighton to discuss our plans. We have their full help and support in executing all of this.

Lastly, we would also love as much help as possible in delivering the gifts to each seniors home.  We are wanting to deliver the gifts May 21st - 23rd. My sister and I realize it’s going to be a lot of work having to deliver the 172 gifts to each doorstep so if you’d like to volunteer a bit of your time to drop off at least 1 gift, that would be awesome. Just message me personally or my sister to let us know and we will give you further details.
