Hi, I am Paddy Miller 15 years old and I am raising money for Halton Haven. I am doing this because I was bored all throughout lockdown and I wanted something to do so I thought of raising money for charity. I chose Halton Haven because my Nan was in the hospice and it is a part of the community and I wanted to help out. Halton Haven makes most of its money from fundraising but in 2020 many events could not go ahead.
This is how I am going to raise the money:
Me and other people will be walking to the summit of Snowdonia from Runcorn which is 72.4 miles. This will take place over 4 days from Wednesday 14th April to Saturday 17th April. On the first day, we will walk approximately 20 miles then stay over night. The next day we would walk another 20 miles approximately then stay over and again on the third day. On the last day, we would walk up Snowden finishing our trek walking the final few but many miles completing our adventure.
My Grandad who is 64 is cycling the 72.4 miles and walking up the mountain in one day. On the Saturday he will set off from Runcorn at approximately 6am and meet us at Llamberis at the foot of the mountain and join us on our final journey of walking up to the summit of Snowden
How can you have summit to do?
Have you been bored also or have you put on a few pounds and planning on to do so over christmas? Well you have summit to do! You can walk with us or cycle or drive then climb with us. You can also donate and we can raise a lot of money if we all work together.
