Summit for Survivors

Donation protected
We're West Area Team 2 Sapphire officers and 6 of us have decided to take on the 3 Peak challenge, to raise money for two charities close to our hearts and what drives our daily passion of what we do in Sapphire.

The first is the Rape crisis, who provide support to survivors of serious sexual offences. Being that we all on a daily basis work towards convicting horrific sexual offenders, we understand the essential support that is needed for a survivor to survive such trauma, without monetary funds raised to financially support charities like Rape Crisis, survivors wouldn't have the emotional, psychological and physical support that they get now to help them navigate that period in their life. Charities like this do incredible work and it can be life changing to someone who needs them.

The second is a the Police Care charity who support both serving and veteran officers, staff and their families where they have suffered harm or injuries, physically and psychologically as a result of policing.
As officers, we get a wage and have internal organisations available, but no one understands the risk we put ourselves in when we attend an incident, in uniform or not in uniform, we daily put a target on our back, whether it be a 999 call to a vcop update. So it's essential we have charities such as Police Care UK who can assist us when we need someone helping us.

Our challenge:
On Friday 10th October 2025 we will be driving from West London to Scotland to start our 0500 walk on the 11th October where 6 of us RASSO officers will be climbing consecutively Ben Nevis in Scotland, followed by Scafell Pike in the Lake district and ending on Mount Snowdon in Wales. All of which including travelling time between each mountain be completed within 24hrs.
Suffice to say we'll be up against cold weather, freezing temperatures, most likely poor conditions, maybe even snow.
We're freestyling this walk which means it's just us and a map, no guide.
And sleep....what sleep? We'll be walking for 24 hours straight.
All we need you to do is support us. I appreciate times are hard, but a supportive message with a small donation of £1 if that's all you can afford, is better than what we had before.

Our mission:
To raise at minimum £2000 as we will equally be dividing the funds raised between both charities.

Thank you in advance from myself Natalie (Soit), and fellow other hikers, Jamie (DC), Isabella (DC), Chetna (DC), Stephen (DC) and Ella (DC). And of course our two drivers, chefs, first aiders and overall support system between mountains Vanita (Soit) and Gemma (Stephens partner)
