Summer #SuicidePrevention Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hey! If you're seeing this, you more than likely know me.

But if not, my name is Na'Kole, and I AM a suicide prevention solutionist. I'm a certified suicide prevention specialist and a proud life survivor. I supply prevention resources, tools and strategies to influencers, community allies and people wrestling with suicidal ideations. As a village, we deliver the support and guidance that those suffering need to save themselves and live a life free of unresolved pain and hopelessness.

Alongside this work, I teach parents of tweens and teens how to safeguard their children's digital lives by providing them with the guidance and resources they need to understand what happens online. With my help, parents gain the skills and knowledge to advocate for their children and protect them from cyberbullying, child predators and other online threats.

I have survived multiple suicide attempts, and I have talked countless people out of suicide. I'm very true to this work, and in September, I will boldly commemorate a decade of doing this work.

As you may realize at this point, this isn't a part-time job. Doing this work means being "on" pretty much all the time (aside from self-care, vacations, etc.) and being able to consistently provide value and resources to those who need it.

The pandemic literally crushed my business - I had to refund all of the speaking engagements I had lined up because schools and community organizations closed their doors. This forced me to move to a more digital model, and now that the world is opening back up, I am operating with a hybrid model: part digital and part in-person.

Having said that, one thing I have always struggled with is asking for help. I told my therapist this week that it seemed selfish asking for help when so many people are struggling financially.

She said, "It's selfish for you NOT to ask for help when your work could literally save the lives of struggling people who may want to end it all."

That struck me. And I haven't been able to shake it.

I am raising a very specific amount of money for a very specific reason: to help more people. To provide more resources. To get my lifesaving message in the hands of more people - the people who need it the most.

Here's what I plan to do with the funds:
  • order the supplies I need to operate my business (copies of The Ultimate Suicide Prevention Guide - written by me, copies of my inspirational books for tweens, copies of my Anti-Bullying Parent Playbook
  • give out 1,000 FREE passes to my Cyber-Safe Survival Guide course so that underserved parents can get the information they need to protect their children online, report cyber threats AND know how to recognize and report threats of mass violence and other instances of interpersonal violence
  • offer FREE suicide prevention workshops in underserved communities where there aren't funds for this type of education
  • order supplies for my back to school bundle which will equip parents with everything they need to keep their children protected should they face suicidal ideation, bullying or cyber threats
  • and much more!

Donating to my fundraiser frees me up to serve more people. The time I spend doing other projects in order to get the money for these things takes away from the work and keeps me further and further behind and spinning my wheels.

With these things taken care of by your generous support, I can use the summer to get more people into my programs, pitch to more sponsors, and generate the revenue that is needed to sustain this business and provide the help and support that so many people need (but may not be able to afford) during these trying times.

Anything helps, and it would mean a lot to me if you would help me reach my goal!

Thank you so much in advance!
