Hello, my name is Azucena Mora, due to situations beyond my control, my family and I requested refuge in Toronto in March 2019, from that day our process began and currently immigration gave us a departure date for March 15, 2024, my husband has resolved the lawyer's payments but now our savings are not enough.

In October 2019, Sudbury received us and until that month we received our work permit. Since then, my husband Joel Martinez has dedicated himself to working, because he is a responsible man and loving father to my children Gael and Nathalia.

In my case I only worked for one year because in 2021 our second blessing, Nathalia, was born. The plans did not go as planned, she had difficulties drinking breast milk, and I noticed some others, that is why I did not return to work to dedicate myself to my daughter who began to receiving physical therapy since she was 15 months old, currently our daughter has progressed but is not finished yet, when my daughter enters prekindergarten I will be able to work, therefore all the economic responsibility falls on my husband, he currently has a part-time job and another part-time job. completely, the savings we had are not enough to completely cover the expenses, since we chose our legal representatives poorly on two occasions, the case reached the federal level and for the time immigration has summoned us continuously until now that it dictated our departure order . Resigning was never an option because our lives are still in danger in Mexico, my husband and I are looking for options to stay in Sudbury because we are sure that this beautiful city is already our home, we firmly believe that living here is the best for our family.

Since he turned 6, my son continually told us, Mommy, I don't want to go back to Mexico anymore. It made me sad but at the same time I understood why, and every time it was his birthday he counted, Mommy, how old was he when we arrived in Canada? I responded, 5 years sweetheart, and with a surprised face he told us wow, then when I turn 10 I will have half of my life here in Canada, mommy I don't want to return to Mexico anymore. Gael is a brave and kind child who at a very young age I have had to explain unfortunate situations to him that in some way have made him stronger. I am proud of him. He is also a wonderful older brother. He adopted English as a second language. Now he is learning French. , take piano lessons.
