Across Sudan, thousands of children have been left without the stability and care every child deserves. They have lost parents, homes, and access to the most basic necessities. For these orphans, daily life is not just about growing up, it is about surviving.

Our goal through this campaign is simple: to restore dignity, care, and opportunity to orphaned children in Khartoum. Your support will help provide essential needs such as food, shelter and care for children who have already endured more hardship than any child should.

In Islam, caring for orphans is held in high regard. The Prophet ﷺ, who was an orphan himself reminded us of the honor in this responsibility when he said:

“I and the one who cares for an orphan will be like this in Paradise.”

And the Prophet ﷺ held his index and middle fingers together.

[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Supporting an orphan is not only charity, it provides those most vulnerable with hope, protection, and an opportunity for a better future.

During this blessed time, your sadaqah can be a source of relief for children who have lost so much. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that an orphan is cared for, given food, shelter and remembered by a community that has not forgotten them.

Allah SWT also reminds us in the Quran:

يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُونَ ۖ قُلْ مَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ - (البقرة: ٢١٥)

They ask you ˹O Prophet in˺ what ˹way˺ they should donate. Say, “Whatever donations you give are for parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, and ˹needy˺ travelers. Whatever good you do is certainly well known to Allah.” (Al-Baqarah: 215)
