A Father to the Fatherless

Hi my name is Geraldine. I'm part of a street ministry for the homeless which is called “church on the street”, operating on the streets of Belfast City.

Homelessness in Belfast is in crisis and pastor Chris Tripp and his wife Sheryl have been in Ireland for three years and have been running this badly needed work for many months.

The goal of this ministry is to provide these people with not only a home but a place where the much needed medical and restorative care can be given; to end the vicious cycle of them living on the streets, in shelters, then being put back on street.

We need your help. “Papa Chris” (as the homeless call him), and his wife Sheryl, are from Panama City Florida in USA. They been here three years now, but their visas ran out and we need to urgently raise $6000 for them to renew the visas and keep their Belfast home, to continue this work helping the homeless.

They are here by faith with ‘Church on the Streets’ not receiving much financial backing but survives on the blessings and donations of others.

As an Irish born person myself I want to help these people, a forgotten people, whose lives tragically have been torn apart. We buy food when they’re hungry out of our own pockets, clothing, blankets and other basic essentials for them. We are there when they need prayer or arms to hold them and give them a hug. These people are someone's son, daughter, a father, a mother.

Please can you help? We need this precious couple (Chis and Sheryl) to stay with us - they are the mother and father figure to our people on the streets and Ireland needs hearts to go into highways and byways to rescue our own. Please can you help me get money together for them, can you please give to help keep the Tripps here?
