Instant Family

Soooo, HUGE announcement...A couple of weeks ago, Gigi and I welcomed home a 7 year old new son. As the adoption through foster care process is long, complex, and painful, I have kept my situation pretty under wraps. Even now I cannot publicly share his name and family photos. But, I can tell you, we are finding our way and are all really excited about our new life together. I am choosing to share this publicly now because something even bigger has happened. My new son has a 9 month old baby brother and a 2 year old baby sister and they suddenly need a permanent home as well. If you know me at all, you know where I am going with this. This previous mom of 1 is about to become a mom of FOUR! 2 girls, 2 boys: an infant, a toddler, a preschooler, and a big kid. I am over the moon ecstatic to have a big beautiful family, to give my kids siblings, to have every prayer answered...however, I am also more than a little overwhelmed...physically, emotionally, and financially. So, once again, I am growing my family and coming to my community for some support. I have created an Amazon list of things we need to set up our home for 4 kids. I have to: pay Montessori tuition for 3 as well as summer camp; trade in my lease for a new larger vehicle; and still manage to work TWO full time jobs. So, pride aside, I need all of the help that I can get.
