Students Against Slavery

The African Student Coalition Global was created in the state of emergency due to the CNN exclusive publication of African migrants and refugees being sold in slave markets in Libya. Student leaders from African Student Organizations and Associations at universities across the globe banded together to create an awareness campaign on this issue and to create a fund where donations would be handled properly and with trust. The purpose of this coalition is to form a GLOBAL awareness campaign highlighting the history, current state, and raw reality of the atrocities happening to our people in Libya. The coalition’s core objectives consist of integrity, research, awareness, authenticity, and humanitarianism. The funds will be donated to the International Organization for Migration in support of transportation of the refugees and migrants back to their home countries one week following the close of the GoFundMe.
