Student Family Rent

This is the reality of one of my students. I am keeping names private for respect to my student and her family. I am raising money to save one of the families in my classroom from losing their lease contract for their apartment. 

Both parents have lost their jobs due to the companies having to shut down because of COVID.  The letter shown below is for April's rent and she is already late for May now. The amount I am trying to raise for them will cover 2 months of rent. 

Her father will be traveling to find work outside of Houston soon. The mom hopes to be able to go back at the end of May.  

I have had amazing people gather with me to buy them groceries. They do seek help when they have information of where to go like the food banks and food distribution locations.
