Hello and thank you for taking the time to stop and read our story. I am setting this fundraiser up for my daughter. She is a student at Cal State East Bay. She works extremely hard. Unfortunately, in the last couple weeks she has dealt with some serious financial setbacks. She woke up a couple of weeks ago to the ceiling of her apartment leaking onto all of her belongings. We had to immediately get her into a hotel. Unfortunately, her landlord is all the way in China and was not helpful. And is now threatening to sue my daughter. It has been a very stressful situation. My daughter was looking forward to visiting me yesterday and was supposed to fly out of the San Francisco airport. She was pulled out of line by TSA and was required to do additional security screening and asked ridiculous questions about apartments and addresses from 10 years ago. She was then denied the ability to fly based on an incorrect answer she gave. It was several hundred dollars to reschedule her flight. She was then headed home from the airport when her car broke down. Forcing her to have to stay in a hotel room. She does not live anywhere near the airport. We now have the added expense of getting her car fixed. All of this has just been very overwhelming. She is an amazing young woman and she works so hard in school. I have seen people raise money on these platforms for all kinds of things. I’m genuinely hoping that I can raise the $500 to try to help her through this stressful situation because I have personally given everything that I can.
