Hello Oro Valley Community,
My name is Hayden Picton. I am a high school Junior at Pusch Ridge Christian
Academy. I wanted to share the story of a low-income Oro Valley single mother who we
are attempting to help. This mother, a member of the deaf community who happens to
be an ASL teacher at our school, recently had her car break down on Oracle Road. This
car had already broken down twice in the last month, and the car was recently towed
away for the last time. The car had unreliable brakes, a missing bumper, and had to be
fed oil daily. She and her three children, under the age of six, no longer have a form of
transportation to get to school or work.
Every day, she has had to ask around to find someone kind enough to offer her a ride;
because of this, her kids also experience the dilemma of getting a ride to their
schooling.
As the Oro Valley community, we can unite to support this family. Hence, this
fundraiser is called OV United. Any contribution to achieve our goal of purchasing a car
for the family will be immensely valued.
May everyone have a blessed and wonderful school/work year. Thank you for
taking the time to read this story. While this family is unaware of this fundraiser, your
thoughts and prayers are a gift to them as well. If there are any questions, please
contact me.
With warm regards,
The Students of Pusch Ridge
