Struggling family needs a break

Hello

My name is Cameron Sharkey. I am a husband and father of 2. I do not know how to start this. I will just be honest. I need help, well actually my whole family does. We need to move out of our apartment and get ourselves a big enough place. I have a 6yr old boy and 7yr old girl who need space. We are currently living in the top three rooms of a house, my living room is split into a kitchen which is actually where my wife and I sleep. We have been stuck here for 5yrs. It was supposed to be a stop while we looked for a better place but then life showed its ugly side and my wife was diagnosed and told she cannot work. This hit us hard because at the time my wife had a very good job and it seemed we were on track to start a "normal" life. Now we are barely getting by, I am working but it is just not enough. I feel so bad for my children, they do not know what is going on but I know they are not happy. I get told that they hate living here. It all would not be so bad if my apartment was in better condition. Our apartment building has had every bad thing happen, we have had roaches we have had bed bugs(taken care of don't have them anymore)) we have leaks, we have mold, we have really inconsiderate neighbours, a landlord that just wants us out so he can "fix" our place and then up our rent hundreds of dollars. I guess what I am asking is if there is anyone out there that can help us. Help us get a new place, help us get things we need, just please help.
