Dairdre's story, in their own words:

"I have experienced a hate crime. Me and my trans roommate were beat up by my neighbors on memorial Day and then my house was shot up. I am currently in the process of finding humans to help me move my home before my son gets back.

"My house has been shot up, and there was bullets in the bed. You can share my story. I refuse to hide from harm."

Friends and community around Dairdre are coming together to make this GoFundMe on their behalf. Money given to this GoFundMe go directly to Dairdre.

How will this money be used?

The irony of being the victim of a hate crime is that there will be EXPENSES INVOLVED that Dairdre never asked to accrue. What we know for certain is that Dairdre will need help.

They need to move out IMMEDIATELY. Finding a place to let on short notice in their area of Ohio is a new expense.

They need a storage unit. Finding a cheap place with enough room for all their belongings is a new expense.

They need support and care for their child.

While Dairdre is busy putting life back together, we can help by chipping in.

Nobody deserves to experience violence and hate. It appears that this attack was part of a pattern with someone who lived close to their house. Please show Dairdre and their son they aren't alone right now as they find a new home.
