Strong Andy Fights ALS
Donation protected
Our dad, Andy, a 62 year old carpenter for over 30 years, avid mountain bike rider and aspiring guitarist, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) earlier this year. ALS is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
ALS can strike anyone.
Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
Currently, he is enrolled in a clinical trial at Columbia University where we are praying to see some benefits in the coming months. He's on very specific medications and supplements that don't interfere with the trial. He drinks particular shakes that are high in calories but easy to swallow.
We are beyond appreciative to any donation that you make to support our father and his expenses.
