An opportunity to make a direct difference. Please help provide strollers for refugee families.
Refugees continue to land on the beaches in Chios, Greece. Over 1500 refugees are stranded here and more arrive daily. They are fleeing war and looking for a safe home for themselves and their families. Strollers are needed for families to use as safe transportation in camp where space is limited and frequently hazardous. Strollers lessen the strain on parents coping with unbelievably challenging conditions.
A Drop in the Ocean, the organization I work with, has been providing strollers, one per family twice a week, to families in need and demand has outstripped supply; we are critically low and in need of immediate funds to buy more. Please help me provide strollers to refugee families with infants and toddlers. A donation of any amount will be appreciated and make an immediate and direct difference.
Strollers will be purchased locally on the island, supporting the local economy, and I will provide frequent and personal updates about the campaign and the families we distribute them to.
