A group of friends and I founded The Survivor Project because we saw a deep need in our communities; a need for safe spaces, honest conversations, and tangible resources for survivors of sexual violence. What began as a small school project quickly became a mission that I could not walk away from.
Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand how awareness, education, and empowerment can change lives. We’ve hosted consent education workshops that opened young people’s eyes to their rights and boundaries. We’ve provided vocational training to survivors, helping them rebuild financially and regain independence. We’ve partnered with shelters, schools, and community leaders to make sure survivors know they are believed, supported, and never alone.
But there is still so much more to do. Survivors across Nigeria & Ghana are still fighting against stigma, shame, and limited access to resources. That’s why I’m running this half marathon. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Survivor Project. Every kilometer is a statement that their voices matter and their futures deserve hope.
When you give, you’re not just supporting a run, you’re funding more consent workshops, more vocational training programs, and more resources for survivors to heal and thrive. Together, we can ensure that survivors know: they are loved, they are worthy, and they are never forgotten.
