£750 raised of £730

Stretton speed restriction scheme

Donation protected
Following some years of campaigning and dialogue with the local council, we are delighted that they have approved a 40 mph speed zone that will start just before Stretton Green and run through to the Wetreins Lane junction.

We are sure all local residents will be pleased to see traffic restrictions put in place along a route that has winding roads with almost no space for pedestrians and cyclists, and of course those crossing the road to use the bus stop.

The local council are however short of funds for implementation. After many years of negotiations from our local resident, Neil Clarke, the local councillor Adrian has agreed to support and part-fund £1,500 of the costs of the scheme from his own budget.

To implement this scheme, which has already been approved by the council, we need to raise an additional £730 as local residents.

We believe the costs would be as low as £30 per household if everyone is willing to contribute but please give as little, or as much, as you are comfortable with.

Huge thanks to all Stretton neighbours.
