Strengthen Colorado's Liberty Community
Donation protected
Please support the vitality of the liberty community in Colorado
This fund is dedicated to covering expenses incurred in identifying and welcoming newly registered Libertarians and all young voters in Colorado, as well as developing other community and demographics services, such as locating one’s Libertarian neighbors, understanding the demographics of communities, establishing a business and services directory, and providing geographically-based forums for organizing social activities such as book clubs, campouts, potlucks, etc.
Who is doing this, and why through GoFundMe? We are a group of lifetime LP members and current and former activists of the state and local affiliates in Colorado. These are not yet official LPCO projects (and could very well remain that way), but we’d like to get development started now so that they will be available for announcement and use at the 2025 LPCO State Convention, and we need help covering costs amounting to about $2000:
$1000 two-year subscription of regular downloads of voter/election data from the SOS – this is needed ASAP in order to develop and test the automated procedures that will be used for downloading, analyzing, and processing the data and generating reports and database tables;
$150 estimated costs for initial geocoding of all Libertarians who have recently registered, pre-registered, or voted (SOS status of “active”) and all Libertarian owned or friendly businesses; ongoing geocoding is expected to fall under the monthly cap for free services from Google;
$150 for initial data disks that were purchased from the SOS;
$400 reserve fund for printing and postage (this is an estimate to cover three months while building up the fundraising to cover it perpetually);
$120 estimated server fees for a year
Donations are not tax-deductible and are non-refundable. Funds will be managed by Jeff Orrok. Any overage will be applied to additional welcome kit materials, other incidental expenses, or donated to one or more liberty oriented non-profit organizations. If we decide to remain independent of the LPCO, we may use funds to establish our own 501(c)(3), which would make future contributions tax-deductible.
Anonymous donations are welcome, but we’d appreciate it if you would identify yourself so that others who know you will feel inspired to contribute as well.
Thank you, and live free!
