Help Jeff on His Road to Recovery

Dear friends, family and community,

My brother Jeff has been in the hospital for nearly four weeks, fighting through one of the most difficult periods of his life. After a long stay in the ICU, he was recently moved to the heart floor at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Muhlenberg. While this is a positive step, Jeff still has a long road of recovery ahead.

Jeff lives with chronic heart disease, diabetes and now kidney disease and an infection in two heart valves. He currently needs to regain enough strength to enter inpatient rehab, still within the hospital, before he's strong enough to undergo his second open heart surgery.

While Jeff focuses on healing, his wife, Gwen, continues to work full time, going back and forth to the hospital and managing the household. They live within their means, but this unexpected medical journey has added extra financial strain and stress.
