Street trees for Laleham Road (south end)
Donation protected
Hi! We're Courtney & Diana, and we live on Laleham Road.
Inspired by our neighbours on Sportsbank and Elmer Roads, we’ve been in touch with Street Trees — a local charity working with Lewisham Council to plant more trees across the borough.
There are already trees on the north end of Laleham, but none on the south end — and we’d love to change that!
We’re raising funds to plant trees along Laleham Road between Brownhill Road and Engleheart Road.
Street trees bring so many benefits — from cleaner air and reduced traffic noise to improved biodiversity, temperature regulation, and mental wellbeing. Plus, they make our street a more beautiful and inviting place to live
You can read more about the benefits of street trees here:
How it works:
Each tree costs £395, which includes:
- A professionally planted 4m street tree
- Stakes, protective guard, and watering support
- A guaranteed replacement if the tree is vandalised in the first two years
If you'd like to help make our street greener, please consider donating or sharing this page. Every bit helps — and we’re aiming to raise enough for at least one tree to be planted by Spring 2026.
Thank you so much!
