Street Kitchen

Street Kitchen is a small group of people who provide outreach and food to the unhoused residents of St. Louis.  Food is sometimes all that is needed by an unhoused neighbor.  Sometimes it is a way to start building a relationship.  An important aspect of our outreach includes connecting people to services.  Street Kitchen provides connections to Behavioral Health Services, shelters, recovery networks, and other services that are needed.  Street Kitchen also provides supplies such as blankets, gloves, hot hands, coats, tarps and other survival gear, as well as transportation to shelters, emergency rooms, and other facilities as needed.   Street Kitchen's outreachers have taken field medic training including basic first aid and proper administration of Narcan. Street Kitchen volunteers work nearly round-the-clock, and often use their own resources.  At this time, after months of very harsh weather, Street Kitchen’s accounts are totally depleted.
