Street Child World Cup 2026 Participation

My name is Sadock, and I am the founder of the Street Stars Foundation. Growing up in Mwanza, Tanzania, I faced significant challenges, spending part of my childhood on the streets. At the age of 12, my life changed when a local organization rescued me and welcomed me into their football academy. In 2010, I was chosen from among 200 boys to represent Tanzania in the inaugural Street Child World Cup in Durban, South Africa. Scoring crucial goals, I emerged as the tournament's top scorer and helped my team reach the finals.

Since then, I have dedicated my life to being a young leader and ambassador for Street Child United, attending every Street Child World Cup and various events to raise awareness about the rights of street children and amplify their voices.

In 2023, I realized my dream by founding the Street Stars Foundation. Our mission is to support street children in my community through football, advocating for equal opportunities and treatment for these young individuals while creating life-changing opportunities for them and their families.

The upcoming Street Child World Cup in the USA in 2026 holds immense significance for me and the children we support. My greatest wish is to bring these young people from Tanzania to the USA, to participate in the tournament that transformed my life and empowered me to make a positive impact in my community. They deserve the same chance that I was given, to step out of the shadows and into a brighter future.
