Street Cats YYC mutual aid fund
Street Cats YYC has recently established a night outreach Harm Reduction team. The primary focus is to build community relationships with folks who use substances by providing low barrier harm reduction supplies, naloxone, and peer overdose response, all while meeting people where they are at.
How can you help as community members?
We are seeking donations:
Street Cats YYC is a fully volunteer based grassroots mutual aid run community initiative. We are 100% funded by small dollar donations from folks who give a d*mn about the oppressed masses and from our own pockets. Our spending priorities are decided by the folks we serve and their needs. Monetary community support goes directly to both outreach supplies and ongoing need for basic necessities. A collective goal within the group is to provide paid opportunities for those currently using substances or experiencing houselessness, wanting to partake in outreach and community engagement.
If you have the ability to, please donate to our gofundme so we can grow and maintain this outreach. The community commitment to reaching the vast needs throughout YYC has no limits, we have set a goal of $10,000 to ensure a foundation of stability in support is achieved.
If you would like to contribute in alternative ways, we have provided a non-exhaustive list of necessary supplies (see below). Donations can be picked up or dropped off by contacting [email redacted].
