URGENT! We have until December 31st to buy out the remainder of the property.

We currently own 25% of the property. The remaining 75% needs to be purchased by Dec 31st. Otherwise, the property will likely be sold to developers and The Straw Bale Center will be demolished.

Built from nearly 100% recycled materials with volunteer labor, our Straw House is about 85% complete. It is ready to become the eco-art sanctuary of your dreams!

However, we need urgent help to buy out the land. If not, the three-thousand square foot structure will be BULLDOZED and the land likely sold to developers for TRACT HOUSING developments!

Instead, we want the house to continue to be a home for artists, a non-profit community event center, ecological healing retreat space, and a much-needed animal sanctuary and rehabilitation center.

Right now, we need to acquire the land the Straw House is built on.

We need to raise $1,500,000 in order to buy out the remaining 75% interest on the property.

The only other potential large expense we face is an estimated $30,000 for the process of having a professional installation of a required fire sprinkler system.

We essentially have the means of acquiring almost everything else needed to complete the house.

Despite the Straw House nearing completion, it will be destroyed forever if we cannot acquire full ownership of the property.

$1,500,000 might seem like a big goal; so let’s break it down …

If all 90,000 people who signed the petition to Save the Sanctuary donated $17 - the Straw House would be funded.
