***BEAR’S BATTLE UPDATE***

It is with most overwhelming sadness to announce the passing of my brother Adam (Bear) Stotts. Adam passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday 6/2/2025. My brother had a very rare form of stage 4 prostrate cancer that was extremely aggressive and fast spreading. He has been fighting this cancer for almost a year. Adam had been hospitalized at Moffitt Cancer Center for over the last month of his life due to the progression of the cancer reaching the bone marrow in his spine. My brother is mine and my wife’s best friend, an amazing husband to Kaitlyn and an outstanding son to my mother. Losing Adam has broken my family in ways no one can explain. He is by far the most amazing and caring person this world ever made. Just over 2 months ago my family suffered the tremendous loss of my father, Rick Stotts, due to a very sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the night. Adam and his wife Kaitlyn performed CPR on my dad until paramedics arrived. After a long process of my father on life support, endless tests, multiple specialists being involved and many many tears, it was determined that my dad was brain dead despite prolonged resuscitation attempts and passed away on 3/20/2025. My dad Rick was the glue for our family, a safety spot for everyone and our rock. Loosing my dad has changed our lives forever. We have started this GoFundMe as a family account. With the loss of both my dad and brother, the household income has decreased significantly and the illnesses and deaths have caused a huge financial strain on our family alongside us all missing a significant amount of work in order to be by their sides. Everyone is needing help in our family. We have created this family based GoFundMe and ask you to please share and spread this GoFundMe so me, my mom, my sister-in-law, and wife can try to help get our lives back on track. We have suspended the individual GFM accounts that were going for the passing of Rick and Adam’s illness. We are ONLY using this account now. We want to thank everyone who has helped my family in anyway in the process of Adam’s diagnosis, my fathers death, and now Adam’s death.
