Over the past year, there has been a 150% rise in hate crimes towards the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, despite a 10% drop in hate crimes overall. We must stand together and support one another in these times, not just amongst ourselves but alongside our allies.
To all our brothers and sisters who have been affected, PAPA stands with you. We understand your pain and we hear you. These acts have no place in our society, and PAPA remains committed to standing up against racism in all forms.
As part of our ongoing efforts to support the campaign against hate crimes, PAPA is excited to announce this fundraiser, to give back to the organizations below. The proceeds will be split evenly. Your contributions to these 501(c)3 non-profit organizations are tax-deductible.
Stop AAPI Hate
The center tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
Compassion in Oakland
This group organizes volunteer chaperones for the vulnerable minority population to help them feel safer in the California Bay Area.
AAPI Women Lead
This movement aims to strengthen the progressive political and social platforms of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the US through the leadership of self-identified AAPI women and girls.
