STOP THE TREK
Assalamu alaikum,
We need to talk about our Fulani brothers and sisters. They are nomadic people who live across West Africa and the Sahara. As a result of their nomadic lifestyle and the prejudice held by others, they have become isolated from the wider community.
One of their greatest struggles is obtaining clean drinking water. Many women and children wake up at 3 a.m., walking great distances to get water for their families. This has great repercussions for the entire family, the children are unable to attend school, and instead, they walk through difficult terrain. One family told us of their 12km round trip for water that they embark upon each day.
Our goal is to build 50 wells to help transform the lives of these people. For £150, you can help these families and fund the building of these wells. These wells can last for 100 years, meaning they can help facilitate generations of children to attend school.
