Stop The Gurnell Overdevelopment

Donation protected
London Borough of Ealing own the Brent River Park and plans to build 612 flats, across 6 tower blocks ranging between 6, 10, 13, 15 and 17 storeys. This is to be built on the current site of the Gurnell Leisure Centre.

The community supports the need for the Gurnell Leisure Centre to be either refurbished or redeveloped and recognises that there is a cost associated with this.

However, local residents have concerns about the size and scale of this development, it’s impact to local infrastructure and its affect on the openness of the Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) on which it is to be built.

The provision of truly affordable housing of an appropriate size and scale is also supported by the community.

To assist with the campaign against this overdevelopment, we need to raise funds to help cover the cost of campaign expenses such as legal and expert planning advice as well as other campaign related costs.
