In October 2023, Brandywine Aggregates applied for a special exception to mine sand and gravel at 2882 Patuxent River Road. If approved, the project will significantly impact our scenic roads and the environment. These wide-ranging consequences include increased pollution in our local community, the destruction of acres of forest, potential depreciation of land values, and the potential traffic hazards associated with increased heavy truck volume.
