Stop Project Sail - Protect Coweta County's Rural Character
Donation protected
We are a group of citizens dedicated to preserving the unique character of rural Coweta County. We are opposed to changes that would harm the community and environment, disregard its history, and directly conflict with the Coweta’s Comprehensive Plan.
Atlas Development is asking to rezone over 800 acres of land zoned for Rural Conservation to Industrial to build world’s fifth largest data center in Sargent, Georgia. We are not against data centers; they are essential to our society and world; they just should be located in areas currently zoned for Industrial use.
This data center will destroy the local ecosystem, decimate wild animal habitat, and be detrimental to residents in the area. While we are working with the Coweta County Commissioners and other local leaders, we know that legal representation and encouraging community opposition will assist us in succeeding to stop this unnecessary rezoning and despoiling of the local rural environment.
If you want to keep the rural character of our county, please donate to help us. The funds are specifically for legal representation and encouraging community opposition to the project. Any money left over after legal fees have been paid will be donated to local Coweta and Newnan charities.
