Montreal Square was told in January 2018 CHS the landlord wants to demolish all 18 houses and 30 trees on the site to fully regenerate the site to maximum density with luxury houses for private sale and flats/ apartments for part ownership and very few extra affordable housing.
CHS have not listened to residents feelings and we have been left with no option than to form our own legal team with a barrister and a solicitor to challenge our landlords sham consultation period and to take out judicial reviews on any planning decisions made.

The residents of Montreal Square are a diverse community with age ranges from late 30`s to 73 and the longest resident has lived in the square for 43 years with 11 residents over 60 years of age.
The green open space in the Square as been described as the green lung of this small community
And the houses were built in 1928 and been described as a gem of social housing
The community here has been called the social glue please help keep this social glue together.

Our local papers ran stories about are plight highlighting the support we have and still our landlord ignores us and puts growth and development before it`s residents
