STOP building unsafe housing on Asti Rd.

Raising $3000 to appeal the decision made by the Planning Commission of Cloverdale approving the Idaho-based company to build five 3-story buildings on Asti Rd. and First St.

The planning commission discussed the following facts:

*75 1,2,3 bedrooms units

*1.3 cars allowed per unit (cars will park on Asti Rd. blocking visibility)

*semi-rural

*no parking allowed on Asti Rd.

*no bus stop or train on or near Asti Rd.

*no lighting on Asti Rd.

*no sidewalks or crosswalks on Asti Rd.

*speed limit 45 mph on Asti Rd. (always much faster)

*heavy traffic on Asti Rd.

*no school buses on Asti Rd.

*located next to a busy lumber mill

*big rigs entering and exiting the mill (overnight rigs parked on Asti Rd.)

*240 fires in the last two years behind the development (homeless encampments)

*too close to the river

Monies raised to cover the cost of city fees and Traffic Study. Once appealed, the decision goes to the City Council for final decision. Let's be proactive; let's make Cloverdale a safe place to live for all the citizens!
