The developers , Asprey Homes (Southern) Ltd have APPEALED against the 4 House refusal ! The time frame is quite short and the Appeal is technical in many respects.
We have therefore decided we need professional advice to properly defend this effort to overturn WDC's unanimous decision to refuse the development.
After all your efforts it would be tragic to fall at the last hurdle.
We are therefore re-opening the Appeal to try and cover the necessary costs. Any contributions will be hugely appreciated and will make a real difference.
Our target for this appeal is a further £3,000.
UPDATE ! 4 House development has also been REFUSED
Please help the efforts to the Stop Alice Bright Lane Development.
Alice Bright Lane is a narrow lane at the edge of Crowborough. The area is wooded and agricultural with ancient woodland. Some low-density housing is scattered around, and two old people's homes are adjacent. There are no pedestrian footpaths to the town. There were two proposals one for 33 and one for 4 Houses. Thanks to your support the 33 House development has been REFUSED by Wealden Planners. The 4 House development has also just been REFUSED by Wealden Planning Committee. It is outside the Town's development area. Crowborough is already short of infrastructure, doctors, dentists etc. The community of Crowborough needs to be heard. Crowborough Town Council has unanimously rejected the 4 House development, but Wealden District Council (WDC) will make the critical decision. ! Funds raised will be used wholly to support opposition to this application to WDC, including any payment needed for flyers/posters and any necessary professional Planning and Transport advice. Any surplus funds will be donated to local Charities or other similar groups in Crowborough. For more details, please click on the link below. Thanks for your help.
