With broken hearts, we share a tragedy that has shaken our entire קהילה.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, our בית מדרש תורה עץ חיים מנצ'סטר was broken into by criminals. In a shocking act, they stole the entire safe from the ארון הקודש—containing two precious ספרי תורה רח״ל.

These ספרי תורה are our life—our connection to הקב״ה, the heart of our תפילות and לימוד התורה. To be left without them is a pain beyond words.

Despite efforts with the authorities, there has been very little progress. Therefore, the קהילה has made the difficult decision to take action:

To hire private investigators to actively pursue and recover the stolen ספרי תורה, בעזרת השם.

To urgently replace the ארון הקודש safe, which was completely taken and destroyed.

This קהילה is a true מקום תורה ותפילה, built in the spirit of the חתם סופר, and growing steadily. Now we stand in shock—but אך לא בייאוש—we are determined to restore the כבוד התורה.

כי לא תשכח מפי זרעו.
