Welcome to our fundraiser to raise money to build a permanent community book hub in the grounds of Stogumber Village Hall. We all know that reading promotes wellbeing, intelligent thought and, particularly, development in young children so this will be a place, open to all, to be able to come to browse and buy second hand books. It will also have the added benefit of keeping second hand books out of landfill as stock will come from donations of unwanted books.
The labour to build it will be donated free of charge, we just need to purchase materials. By sponsoring a shingle you will be helping us create a great community resource and your name will be a permanent part of the building! When you make a donation you can specify a name/s you would like to be permanently marked on one of the shingles to be used for the construction. Why not buy one for your children/grandchildren to give them the fun of spotting their name each time they come to choose a book.

Now to the details: the requested donation is £2.50 per shingle/per name. When you make a donation please also then go to the 'contact organiser' button to email us with the names to be marked on your shingles.
Unfortunately gofundme will only accept donations of £5 minimum so, although this is perfect for 2 or 4 shingles, if you wish to donate for a single or odd number please contact us. (we promise this isn't a ploy to raise more money we are very happy with single purchases, we are grateful for and appreciate every donation made)
