Atlantic Ambition War on Plastic

We are 4 school friends feel who strongly about the alarming rates of climate change and levels of plastic in the World’s oceans. By taking on The World's Toughest Row, we will be the first rowing boat to cross an entire ocean whilst collecting valuable oceanic data which will be used to protect the worlds oceans  and shoreline for the future.  In addition to this we aim to raise over £100,000 for charities actively combating plastic pollution, The Marine Conservation Society and The Surfrider Foundation Australia.

The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is the premier event in ocean rowing and brings together teams from across the World. A true test of physical and psychological endurance, the teams will race to cross the Atlantic Ocean in nothing more than a rowing boat. Rowing in 2 hour shifts continuously, we hope aim to reach the other side in under 40 days, during which we  will battle 50ft waves, sharks, storms and sleep deprivation.

Costs for the first ocean rowing research expedition are over £100,000 which are been raised through corporate sponsors, team and individual donations. 

Groups and individuals have the opportunity to join the 250 club for £250 for which they can have the unique experience of getting their name and a message of support on the boat as we cross.

Costs raised through this go page will go towards funding the boat, which will be sold at the end of the expedition and the proceeds will be split evenly between our charities.
