Fundraising for St James’ Church AV system

Proposed project outline


St James’ Church Stretham are proposing to update its existing PA system and create a comprehensive VA system covering the whole of the interior of the church building. A complete study has been completed in conjunction with various possible suppliers and a final design has been agreed. The design will incorporate three screens, one for each aisle and a series of loudspeakers giving coverage of the whole floor area, plus a audio loop for those who need that facility. It will also allow for audio coverage to be extended outside the church building if required. Microphones will be located at a number of fixed points within the church such as the alter, lecterns etc. and will incorporate the supply of headsets and handheld microphones. The system will have a comprehensive control suite and be capable of showing prerecorded videos including films, etc.
 
One main positive aspect of what we are proposing is that it will provide the village with improved facilities that can be accessed by other organisations such as the school, youth groups and adult organisations within the village and possibly neighbouring areas - Making a more and a wider use of this village, centrally located, asset.

Competitive quotations have been obtained and a supplier selected. The total cost of supply, installation and commissioning is quoted as £47,500
The church has already been fund raising and currently has donations and pledges for £28,416.
We now need help to realise the balance of £19,084.
