Hello,

My name is Charleen. I am 82 years young and retired.

I play the flute in a “special senior choir” for my church. We are a group of about 40 retired seniors (70 to 91 years of age) that entertain almost every Wednesday throughout the year at local (16) retirement homes in the Hill Country in and around Boerne, Texas.

We travel to smaller nearby cities like Fredericksburg and Kerrville, where we sing (and, yes, sometimes dance) secular and Christian songs for the lovely tired and ill residents there, who are still able to enjoy the sound of music and laughter.

I play a couple of solos on my flute, which is in dire need of service. It is in need of more work than I have money for. It is a lovely instrument, $3300 new, requiring professional attention.

I have researched the area and the internet, and most professional players send their instruments out of the area for service.

I would love to continue playing a few more years, if possible, at 82.

After researching locally and on the internet, I would like to have a complete cleaning, alignment, and new pads done at the “Flute Center of New York”.

This will put my flute back to near-new condition. The repair will be around $2000, according to the online repair list.

I will be so happy for assistance in making this happen.
