Steven Peto Family Fundraiser

Hello, my name is Gina Wasserlein-Peto. My husband, Johnny Peto’s twin brother, Steven Peto, had an unfortunate medical emergency on Friday, August 8th. While at work in Kingsville, Steven began feeling dizzy while up on a ladder. He managed to get himself down safely and call for help.

An ambulance took him to Leamington Hospital, where he was initially treated in the ER for what was thought to be severe vertigo. A last-minute CT scan, however, revealed a massive stroke. He was rushed to Windsor Regional Hospital’s Neuro ICU, where, over the next few days, he underwent brain surgery (decompressive craniectomy) to relieve swelling and pressure. After a 4-hour surgery, Steven was out and resting and he did great!

Thanks to an incredible medical team, Steven is now able to sit up and even walk a little with help. His progress is inspiring, but his journey is far from over.

Steven is one of the most hardworking, generous, and kind-hearted men I know, an amazing father, a loving husband, and someone who is always there for others without hesitation.

He now faces about three-six months of recovery and daily rehab before he can return to work. We’re raising $15,000.00 and will adjust as times goes by, to help cover his family’s living expenses during this time so he can focus fully on healing.
