Steve the Pirate LLAMA needs new leg (PROSTHETIC)
Tax deductible
Steve the Pirate was rescued by Olympic Peninsula Alpaca Llama Rescue in 2021. He had been living in poor conditions and had a leg injury. His front right leg bent out to the side. We had the vet look at him and the diagnosis was that at some point the leg tendons would not be able to keep the leg verticle and could completely snap leaving Steve to be unable to walk and have to be put down.
Several months ago the vet came out and we tried to make a casting so we could use the form as a support but he was not able to cush or lay down as the cast made the join in mobile.
Steve's leg has gotten worse and he has two options. 1. To be put down in the very near future or 2. Have a prosthetic made.
Steve the Pirate deserves a new leg, he doesn't need to be euthanized, please support his new leg by donating to our fundraiser.
